Sad Day

Saturday was a sad day for us. Our long time friends and neighbors moved to Missouri for Medical School. Lucy and Joey have been friends from the time they were born and Shauna and I were pregnant with our second babies together...they were born only a month and a half apart. There's just something special about going through the same life experiences with another person.
It's crazy how unprepared I feel to have people move out of my life, even when I know it's coming! We are sure going to miss them!
These are some of my favorite pictures of Joey and Lucy...these are mostly in chronological order.
This picture is of when Joey stole Lucy's hat and sparkly shoes....he loved those shoes ;)
And this is Sammy and their baby Todd hangin' out together...literally hangin' out ;)

  1. I feel that same sadness, Elise. I don't even live close anymore, but I'm still sad they're moving so far away. Joey and Lucy were always so cute together...As I am writing this, your blog keeps saying "Families are Forever" at the bottom, and all I can think of is that friends can be forever too :)
